This movie is about a very important person in our history. Martin Luther King Jr. is that person. In this movie it shows his life and his fight with civil rights. I'm usually not a big fan with historical movies, but I really found this movie interesting. This movie taught me many thing also. I didn't understand how awfully the African race was being treated, but this movie really shows how they did. I also learned about the walk to Selma, where the first walk the police told them they had to turn around. The police were brutal to them just because they were sticking up for their rights. It made me think of how grateful I am that I didn't have to watch this around me. It just blows my mind how one person can change the world for their race. MLK Jr. should be considered more just a part of history, he should be considered a legend!
You're right, it is pretty insane to think that people actually had to go through what they went through. I couldn't imagine living during that time. I'm not usually a big historical lover either, but just like you, I found the movie very interesting. I was hooked from the beginning after that church explosion. Let's hope MLK keeps getting the recognition he deserves!
