Scavenger Hunt

On a typical Monday morning Austin and I were having an interesting conversation with Stevie Pointer when something out of the blue happened. These ginga ninjas came out of the sky and kidnapped Stevie! These ninjas took off into the library with him so Austin and I decided to go on an adventure and chase him.
We saw the ginga hair color go to the 6th floor so that's were we started. Little did we know that these ninjas wanted to play a little game. They left a piece of paper giving us directions that we had to follow or we would never see Stevie again. Reading the first clue Austin realized that we would have to go into the U.S. government publications section and find a certain set of books. We came across some books with the letters "S' and "I" on them. I had realized that we were going to have letters on each floor that makes out a word. I wrote the letters down and looked at the next clue.

Running to the 5th floor we found the next clue. We had to walk past the archives to find green book shelves. There we realized we needed to find the "Zoology" section according to the clue. Rushing through all the shelves I finally found the "Z" section where Austin had found a beaver with the letter "R" right next to this creature. After we had written that down we had heard a chuckle and saw this fat ninja run down the stairs. I was thinking "Wow we could actually catch this one." Little did I know he was a fast dude.
Arriving to the 4th floor we had gotten another clue. For this one we had to find the section of the library labeled "PN 2287 C5". Wondering confused through the library I heard Austin yell saying he found the answer to the clue. When I arrived to where he was there was the letter "A" along with a picture of a cat. I thought that we had saw the cat due to the fact that dogs don't like cats. Looking over Austin's shoulder I saw a ginga ninja jump out the window of the building. My guess is he scaled the building and went to the 3rd floor.

Basically jumping down the stairs we made it to the 3rd floor in 4 seconds to find the same ninja putting out next clue up. We didn't even have to look at it we just ran right to the letter "V". Little did this dumb ninja know we were on to his little games he was trying to play. Next clue we found after finding the letter was to go find the new paper named after Stevie.

I thought to myself where would newspapers be? We went to the 2nd floor just for the hell of it and ended up finding the current issues which we also needed to find. Austin all of a sudden go worried that we weren't going to find Stevie in time, little did he know I felt the same way. After about 10 minutes we finally found the next letter. The letter was "C" for the word current. Running out of time we realized we only had to find two more letters. Austin had saw the same ninja we saw jump out the window slide down the railing of the library to get to the first floor.

We managed to get down there, but the ninja was completely gone. I was upset and threw my hands in the air and my head back. Little did I know I just found the letter "H" on the sharks fin. At this point we're both very anxious and we just had to find one more letter. The last clue was kind of ironic if you really looked at it. We had to find the books called "Encyclopedia of the Dog". Austin just bolted towards the books and found it right away. Looking at the clue we had to looked for the dog called the "English Pointer" when we got to that page we found the letter "E". That was the final letter.

After looking at all the letter I unscrambled them and it said "Archives". Austin had pointed out that we ran past there earlier in the search, that we must've missed him. Being tired and all we took the elevator up to the 5th floor. Arriving there and opening the door to the archives room we had found Stevie Pointer! It felt amazing that Austin and I had found our dear friend after all the hard work. We were both relieved and happy we got our friend back.
