“Anything Can Happen If You Believe”

The movie Miracle is about a man named Herb Brooks, who became the head coach of the USA hockey team. Coach Brooks held try outs and selected 26 undisciplined players and only kept 20 of them. In the beginning of the movie two players have issues with one another due to something that happened in the past. First day of practice as a team a dirty hit was taken and a fight broke out. After it was settled Herb made the team go to the line as a punishment to skate suicides. The team did them so much they started calling them “Herbies”. When the head of the board finds out that Brooks had picked out the team without his consult he had confront coach. Herb argued that he had watched all their films and picked out the teams before the try outs. Everyone underestimated him and his coaching abilities. The first game the team played together the team tied and then bench players were only worried about the hot females at the game. That’s when Herb Brooks got pissed and make them do an endless number of Herbies. As the season went on the team became way stronger. They started winning and became more confident with themselves and as a team. They had a rough couple of games coming up which included the Soviets, which has always destroyed their team in the past. Herb Brooks gave an inspirational speech right before the game motivating them that they’re going to win this game. Turns out they won and after many years defeated the Soviets. They continued on and won the gold medal for the USA. With everyone that underestimated them, all the guys as a team proved to the world that they had what it takes to win!
